This was a week long, collaborative Charrette in which we designed a bus stop in front of the historic St. Louis Public library. The intensive process began with a study of the context with a focus on the views from various locations surrounding the designated site. Taking cues from prominent objects in these views, we designed a structure made up of slatted wood partially covered with colored plastic panels. The result was a dynamic object that served as a beacon in the neighborhood.
